Conditions of the spine that cause neck or back pain, pain spreading into the arms or legs, numbness, weakness or difficulty walking. Most people improve with time and non-surgical care. Surgery is considered when symptoms persist or when the nerves or spinal cord are at risk.

How a referral becomes an appointment, and how to prepare if you are having surgery.

  1. Referral

    Your family doctor, nurse practitioner, specialist or emergency physician sends us a referral with your imaging.

  2. We call you

    Our office reviews the referral and calls you to book a consultation.

  3. Consultation

    You meet your surgeon at our clinic to go over your imaging, your symptoms and your options, including treatment without surgery.

  4. Treatment and follow-up

    If you have surgery, it takes place at Mississauga Hospital. Follow-up visits are at our clinic.
